I thought it was about time I showed my face and brought y'all up to date on the life and times of moi! Been AWOL from Facebook as well. Good grief! How on Earth have I survived?!?!?
October is turning out to be a busy month for me photographically so life is getting hectic trying to juggle all of the mother-ing, wife-ing, teaching and keeping two businesses afloat. Then there is the end of year concert for my DD's Dance Academy that I like to involve myself with. It's a good thing! ...and a bad thing! haaah!
Anyway! On the scrappy front I have a couple of layouts to show you. Thing is though, I CAN'T remember which ones! I've been to sleep a few times since doing them and, well, I need all the memory help I can get. I used to think I had Alzheimers or a brain tumour but as it turns out - it's my age. Gak! Bladder dysfunction and a bag strapped to my hip is just around the corner... ={
I should have other layouts to share as soon as it is 'legal' to do so.
I am thoroughly engrossed in photography at the moment although most of it I don't have permission to share. Us photoggers like to share our photos so commercial jobs, Christmas presents and private people all have the prerogative to hold their images.
I had the excitement of photographing a couple of couples for a formal a few weeks back. Alas it had been raining for nearly 2 weeks at the time and the formal day was no exception! No outdoor area for the photos and a small indoor area certainly tested my skills but we did get some gorgeous shots of 2 beautiful girls and their dates even if they were taken under the eaves! Here are some sneaks...
Rachael's makeup was gorgeous.
Sometimes it's the small details that are most memorable. Like the details on the fingernails.
The corsage.
Mark and Karen aka 'The Parents' were so proud and Karen's jacket was stunning!
Ashleigh was equally beautiful.
Thanks, guys!!!! You were such a fun bunch and I totally wanted to follow you all!
This weekend just gone I photographed this gorgeous family. They are extra-ly gorgeous because they are my extended family. Grant and Janene with their two boys, Bailey and Lochie. The day was gorgeous! The family was gorgeous and so was the location - my back yard! Can't argue with that! AND yes, we do mow our lawn. This is the back of a 5 acre block. Lots of snakes and other unidentifiable greeblies. Gak. Lots of 'freak out' dances. Especially when something attacks your legs and you immediately go into survival mode complete with karate chops only to realise you are standing on a twig. True story. I'll wait for the campfire to tell THAT one. But then there's this one about the earrings.
Below... not technically perfect but I don't care! It's one of my faves from the day!
The photo below would have to be my favourite. Grant is such a good Dad and the boys are perfect. They all know EXACTLY where the moon is!
Janene is so photogenic! I will have to tie her down (not literally! ewww-er) and have a "One-on-One My Lens and Me" session! Yes. Settled. Watch this space! Incidentally, we are both called "Mrs van Barrelo". Thought you should know...
Ok... below. Again, technically not perfect but I LOVE it! I'm a firm believer in what lacks technical perfection can still be a great photo! I mean, there are technically perfect photos that are devoid of any type of message. I think this photo speaks volumes. {heart} Just ask me! I'll tell ya! Ha!
These two rock.
We're going to have to have a 'do-over' due to a technical hitch and I CAN'T WAIT!
AND AND AND tomorrow's shoot peoples, is my first newborn, Joshua. Eeeeeee! Watch this space!
Au revoir!!!
Every photo was just stunning, including the layout!

Hi Lynette,
Totally LOOOVE your photos!! I'm wondering what you charge for a photo session, we'd like to get some pics taken of the whole family (my mum, dad, brothers, sister, sisters-in-law, kids, my hubbie - maybe too crazy I know. We talked about doing it for their wedding anniversary last year but never organised anything.... Just curious about how much it would be and how far you can travel and costs again... can you email me??
