It has definitely gone! Winter. I love the Queensland winter. I love that the nights are cool but not too cool and that the days are pleasantly warmish but it never, ever lasts long enough for my liking. It seems that the older I get the more I relish the cool weather. Or is it the "homelier" I get the less I like to sweat? Ha! I have a chaffing story but I'll leave that for another day. Anyway! For whatever the reasons are that I relish the brief winter the inevitable has happened. Winter 2008 is over. Sigh...
We are hitting the high 20s today and no longer are my tracky daks a comfortable choice. It's also time to start packing away all of the jumpers and scarves that I only got to wear for approximately 6 weeks to free up space for the summer wardrobe and while I'm at it just let me say "I so need a bigger wardrobe..."
Anyway, I've been busy! I can only show a couple of things but I've had a most productive week.
I also found this layout that I did yonks ago and I don't believe I've ever posted it! I think it slipped my mind to photograph it before I shipped it off to Scrapbooks etc. Imagine that!
Sherryn and I did a card class at Scrapbooks etc a couple of weeks ago. I don't get to scrap with others very often so we had a blast making cards. Francie is so talented!!!!
So, full of inspiration from the class, I decided to create a few when I got home. Fun, Fun, Fun!
... And then I decided to decorate a tin I've had hanging around for yonks! I need to make another for the envelopes! I absolutely LOVE Graphic 45...
I took the twins shopping yesterday to kill some time before #2 had to be picked up from the movies. So we walked up and down, in and out of shops, looked at this, looked at that and we ALWAYS have to go into the book store. I love that. Makes me feel like I might be doing something right by encouraging my kids to read. I never make it out of that book store without parting with at least $30 but if I had to spend $30 on them I'm glad its with books. They can never wait to get their noses stuck into them. Here they are waiting for a cold drink.
And if you're freaking out about Shannon's Italian scrambled eggs costing $9.20 I am right there with ya!
Ok, now a couple of snippets for some upcoming classes at Scrapbooks etc. You get a sneak!
Be de be de be de That's all folks!
Wow, i am waiting for summer to end here! With the hurricanes coming through though it has helped keep the temps down.
Your stuff is soooo cute. I love those cards and that tin is awesome! I love the rhinestones and glittery letters.

Love the layout of you, wonder when I will find me, 40 comes in 3 years. ;) The cards are really pretty, I have tried to make cards but apparently not my thing. Maybe I will just copy yours. :) Love that tin, love those papers too.
I love, love fall. Today I bought candy corn and candy pumpkins. And I already bought some fall decor to decorate before visitors come to my house next month. ;)

How cool can it be to have kids that read?! I have one "reader", my son Dennis can totally be absorbed by a touching or exciting story (like the Golden Compass he just finished). My 12 year old is not much of a reader... although we heavily promote it! We let her choose one every few weeks and slowly but surely she is learning to enjoy it. Are you a reader yourself Lynette?

Love the layouts. Nice cards-I don't too often make cards- only Christmas ones. Really just wait till the last minute to think about it and well it doesn't happen.
Awesome on the kids love of reading. I love to read myself so I hope that mine do as well.

I love 90+ degree weather, laying at the pool with an ice cold Corona in my hand. I think fall is OK, but it leads to a long winter for which I HATE!
It's so cool that your kids really love to read!
Does that sign say weiner or winner. I can't see without my glasses! HA!
