Ok. So I know I’ve been a bad blogger. Actually, I’ve been a bad, bad, bad blogger and I haven’t blog surfed, stalked or anything lately! This has become increasingly apparent to me from the amount of people/stalkers who’ve approached me at the convention and through Scrapbooks etc most of whom I had no idea even knew where to find me!
AAAaaaaanyway! What I HAVE been doing will bore you to tears so I’ll save you the misery and get to point of this post.
“Schmootz” or “Schmutz”.
Peyton attends classical ballet twice a week and has been
for the last five or so years. RAD (Royal
Academy of Dance) exams are nigh therefore most of the technical aspects of the
routines have been learnt and now Bev (guru swami teacher extraordinaire sheila
with beautiful feet. Yeah, I
know. I have this thing about feet. ={ ) is tweaking their performances by teaching one of the
more important facets of classical ballet; the “SCHMOOTZ”. “More schmootz
girls! More schmootz!”
Schmootz by definition means ‘dirt’ or ‘grunge’ to anyone
else however, the future ballerinas under instruction from Bev know the real
meaning of schmootz is ‘glamour’, ‘drama’, 'attitude' and, well… ‘schmootz’!
Now, Bev aka ‘guru swami teacher extraordinaire sheila with beautiful feet’ is also a very good friend of mine NOT because she teaches my child to ‘schmootz’ or that she has feet that curl up into beautiful little half moons that make anyone whose feet DON’T curl up into beautiful little half moons and who also know the secret of dancing in points green with envy… uuummmm now, where was I? Oh yes. She’s my friend and I love her. She cracks me up and never fails to see the funny side of things and always brightens my day. Ask Bev to tell you a story and you’ll crack up just watching her expressions. You'll need to cross your legs when you witness the full audio visual. Actually, I think she is the reason I have wrinkles... Moving on...
It seems that this time of the classical ballet year, as in the previous two years, I go looking for material by taking my camera into the studio. Feeding this scrapping habit is essential to a scrappers survival and we all know the horror of impending deadlines for projects whilst not having any material to scrap is utterly unthinkable! So in order to survive WE. MUST. TAKE. PHOTOS.
I was under strict instructions from guru swami teacher extraordinaire sheila with beautiful feet to NOT take any photos of her because I think that perhaps she was feeling a little less schmootzy than she usually does. HOWEVER...
...her ear got in the way. Ooops!!!! Sorry Bev! BTW she's absolutely loaded with schmootz, people...
The girls must stretch before they throw their appendages about...
There's that foot thing again...
I believe this would be a typical example of precision schmootz arabesque...
and solo schmootz arahavenoidea...
Well peoples!!! There endeth the drought on blog posting. I'm ba-ack for a little while at least.
Happy schmootzing!
:D x

Peyton is so delicate and graceful looking.
You wouldn't be jealous of MY feet. They have slight "Fred Flintstone" undertones.

Schmootz eh? Yeah I like that word. It's nice. =)
Love those photos. I really love the lighting in the second one. It's so soft and just shows you the mood of how the girls are getting into the schmootz. Love the feet pics too.
As for me and my feet. I sure don't mind them. We get along okay. They still take me from point A to point B. They have their good days and their bad. I've broken both baby toes and both my ankles. Not all at once. Thank goodness. So at times they have been a pain. They have also gotten in the way and thus the broken toes. BUT I guess I shall keep them around. =) Right now the toes nails are painted up all pretty in pink. That makes me smile.
So Kiwi it's nice to see you back. Have you started your count down yet? How many more sleeps? I can't wait to see ya. Have a fabulous weekend. TTFN

I don't think we'd better start the countdown just yet! It might be like singing "Ninety Nine Bottles Of Beer On The Wall"....we'll be worn out before we get to One! Probably ought to start counting when it's about a week away! :-)
Peyton sure looks like she's a graceful little dancer!

Hi All,
Peyton does well but I only ever post pics where she looks half decent to my untrained eye. She has some tweaking to do when it comes to her schmootz.
Fred Flintstone has lovely feet. I think we may be foot sisters, Donna. 'Cept I'd be the ugly foot sister.
Ninety nine bottles of beer on the wall,
Ninety nine bottles of beer...
